For those looking to make the most of the coast, Little Valley Wales is less than 20 mins from many wonderful beaches, coastal villages, towns and notably the Ceredigion coastal path.

There is, for sure, a beach to suit everyone. From the open and expansive beaches at Poppit sands and Penbryn, to the quintessential seaside town of New Quay with its sandy beaches, many pubs, restaurants and cafes. Its harbour offers fishing and dolphin spotting trips and freshly caught seafood.

Our favourites are: Cwmtydu, a quiet pebble beach from which you can head out on foot along the coastal path to “secret” coves and inland to waterfalls. Free parking is normally possible right by the beach. Secondly, Llangrannog, a small village based in a tight cove. It can get busier during high season but boasts 2 pubs, a café and a chip shop so it’s easy to grab a beer or an ice cream and enjoy the sandy beach complete with caves. Free parking can be found up the hill or a pay and display at the beachfront.
