The barn was originally built around 1740 out of the local stone. Historically, it formed part of a typical mixed Welsh farm with a dairy and livestock spread over the surrounding hills.
We saved the barn from tumbling down in 2019, transforming it into a stunning place to escape to. The stone barn with modern features and creature comforts creates a cosy space for a fantastic self-catering staycation. The stylish interior is a mix of antique and modern pieces which give Bwthyn Bach a unique character.
Staying in Bwthyn Bach you will have:
Open plan living space comprising of lounge with log burner, smart TV, and French doors opening onto the delightful garden with hot tub.
Dining area with seating for two. Great for anything from a relaxed morning coffee to a 3-course meal.
Fully equipped kitchen with everything that you should need to prepare a great meal in the Cottage including an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. Complimentary tea and coffee, fresh milk and eggs will be there on your arrival.
Wet room with shower, heated floor and towel rail. Towels and robes are provided.
Loft room with space to relax, read and take in the view, there’s even room if you’d like to roll out your yoga mat for some exercise.
Sumptuous king sized bed with plump pillows, feather duvet and a wardrobe area for your clothes and bags.
Enclosed private garden with hot tub, hammock and BBQ. Sit out and enjoy the sound of the stream babbling past and watch birds flitting through the trees or relax in the hot tub and star gaze the night away.
Guests have access to the enchanting woodland where the peace and tranquillity of the trees, stream and wildlife can be truly appreciated.
Guests have pay as you go access to the EV charge point adjacent to the cottage.
